Litho-laminated packaging is produced using a litho-lamination process, in which a printed cardboard sheet is joined with corrugated cardboard of various thicknesses and structures using adhesive. Such a construction combines superior offset printing quality with the strength and protective properties of corrugated cardboard. Due to its load-bearing capacity, stability, and resistance, it is primarily suitable for packaging heavier products or products that require additional protection during transport and storage.
For litho-lamination, we most commonly use GD2 group cardboards in grammages from 230 g/m² upwards. When the emphasis is on superior print quality and a prestigious appearance of the packaging, we recommend using GC group cardboards in grammages between 210 and 230 g/m².
Two-layer corrugated cardboards of various qualities are most commonly used as the carrier material, and if necessary, three-layer or five-layer corrugated cardboards are used when the product requires even greater load-bearing capacity and protection. Litho-laminated packaging allows for significantly higher quality printing, richer finishing (hot foil stamping, UV varnishing, embossing, film lamination), and a more prestigious appearance than direct printing on corrugated cardboard.
Solid board packaging is all packaging that does not involve litho-lamination in the production process. As a rule, these are smaller-sized packages and packaging whose contents do not represent a heavy weight. A large segment of solid board packaging is packaging for the cosmetic industry, pharmaceutical and food industry packaging, gift packaging…
In recent years, promotional cardboard stands have also increasingly become part of marketing campaigns. They can be: hanging, countertop with a leaflet pocket, countertop with products, free-standing… It is often important that the stand is easy to assemble. In this segment as well, we can offer you extensive experience in construction.
A gift in neat packaging is a total hit. Emphasize the value of the product with unique, superbly crafted packaging. Attract the customer’s attention with details and special effects.
We recommend: a selection of special cardboards, metallized cardboards, blind embossing, embossing, gold foil stamping, partial UV, matt film lamination in combination with partial UV varnish, gloss film lamination, all in combination with imaginative design and construction. We suggest that you contact us already during the design phase, as together we will find the optimal solution that will be superb and also appropriate in terms of cost.
