Our products are our contribution to caring for the natural environment. Cardboard packaging is inherently environmentally friendly, as it can be recycled after use. Our operations are also based on the responsible use of resources and the reduction of emissions into the environment. Among other things, with our own solar power plant on the roof of the production facility, which covers more than 13% of our electricity needs.
Our responsibility towards the environment is also confirmed by two obtained certificates: for sustainable forest management FSC®-CoC and for the environmental management system ISO 14001:2015. The company obtained the ISO 9001 certificate in 1996, and since then, the organization of the company according to the standard has represented our framework of operation.
At Jamnik, we take a responsible approach to the production of food packaging and thus contribute our part in the chain of ensuring safe food. We are aware that conscious consumers have high demands and expectations regarding food safety and quality, which is why we obtained the ISO 22000:2018 certificate in 2019, thus confirming our responsible conduct. Proof of a responsible approach has also become one of the most important purchasing criteria for our customers in the food industry. The arrangement according to ISO 22000 has further contributed to our better quality and organization, which we wish to upgrade even further in the future.
In 2022, we were the first in Slovenia to also obtain the technical UGRA PSO certificate. PSO is an offset printing process certificate that describes a standard or standardized workflow from the receipt of input files to the output (printed sheets from the machine). It is a confirmation that the company is competent to print according to the ISO 12647-2 standard and that the work process is set up in such a way that the standard can always be achieved. It does not focus only on technology, but also places great emphasis on the economics of the process. With a controlled work process, the company achieves less waste, faster printing press preparation, fewer complaints, greater success, and profit.
We strive for excellence. A careful development process and controlled preparation and production of packaging within agreed deadlines lead to guaranteed quality. The company has adopted a management policy through which it demonstrates its attitude towards quality and the environment. With the introduction of the quality department in 2018, we have focused even more attention on this area.
Within the framework of the certificate for sustainable forest management FSC®-CoC, the company has established an FSC policy through which it demonstrates its attitude towards employees. It prohibits the worst forms of child labour, forced labour, does not discriminate, respects legislation, and has established a code of conduct. It allows employees freedom in choosing labour organizations and respects workers’ rights.

We ensure it through continuous education, goal orientation, and the appropriate motivation of everyone in the company. We monitor trends and innovations in the market, which gives us the knowledge to help develop packaging that will be modern and noticeable. We use modern technology and powerful equipment as tools, which enables us to achieve a high level of efficiency. We ensure the quality of processes and products also through comparative file control before the production of printing plates, with the help of automated ink application control on printing machines, code readers to prevent mixing, and glue application readers.
