Standard packaging forms

The design of the packaging grid can be customised completely according to its content. Our development team in the technology department creates excellent solutions tailored to your needs, while most formats are standard. This page presents the 9 most commonly used shapes along with a description. Other standard shapes can be found in the FEFCO catalogue at this link.

Packaging dimensions are always given in the sequence length (L), width (W), height (H). For the length, we always state the longer side, while for the width, we state the shorter side located next to the surface where the packaging opens. The height of the packaging is the length of the side located between the surface where the box opens and its opposite surface.

We state the internal dimensions of the packaging, as they are important for the fit of the product being packed. External dimensions may vary due to different cardboard thicknesses, and they are crucial for transport purposes and pallet configurations.

FEFCO 210

It is mostly used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and for food supplements. Folding boxes can be made from all types of material, but mostly from solid board. It is possible to adapt them or add a so-called “cosmetic closure”, euro lock, integrated inserts… They can also be used for an automatic packing line.

FEFCO 427

It is mostly used for technical items, mailing… Folding boxes can be made from all types of material, but we primarily recommend corrugated cardboard or litho-laminated cardboard. It is possible to change the closure to one without holes.

It is possible to change or add a so-called “cosmetic closure”, euro lock, integrated insert, safety pin… The bottom is assembled manually, so it is mostly used for smaller quantities.

FEFCO 713

It is mostly used in food supplements, technology, food… Folding boxes can be made from all types of material, but mostly from solid board. It is possible to change or add a so-called “cosmetic closure”, euro lock, safety pin… Assembling this type of packaging is much faster than with similar folding boxes as the bottom is formed automatically. Special features: due to the glued bottom, it can withstand more weight than other similar types.
