Strengthening our competitiveness on the market, ensuring constant print quality, and a quick response for our customers – we gained all this with the launch of the new 7-colour KBA printing machine with two coating units.
The selection of an additional B1 printing machine had been underway since mid-2015. At the end of 2015, we reached the conclusion to proceed with the purchase of a new printing machine, as the technological advantages were so great that buying a used one would not make sense. The testing and selection itself took more than three months. We visited several printing machine providers, but in the end, we decided on a KBA machine. The order was confirmed on 23/03/2016.
The installation of the machine began on Monday, 29/08/2016, when the first truck arrived in Medvode; the remaining 4 followed by the end of week 35. Training for the first two printers was carried out from 29/08 to 02/09/2016, and training for the maintenance service from 12/09 to 16/09/2016. The acceptance protocol was signed on 04/10/2016. At that time, we also began regular work on the machine in three shifts.
