What types of gluing do we know?
Gluing can be cold or hot. At Jamnik d.o.o., we use cold machine application of glue on all gluing machines. Hot glue can be used on a machine for special bases for food, for example, or so-called “trays”, and also for manual gluing with guns.
If we divide glues according to their origin, then we know glues that are organic or inorganic in nature. Their bonding can be physical as well as chemical. The basis of organic glues are polymers. The basis for inorganic glues are minerals and glass and ceramic additives.
How do we apply glues?
Glue is applied by machine or manually in a straight line. Jamnik d.o.o. has machines for nozzle glue application (HHS) and disc glue application. The combination of this allows for multi-point gluing. If the gluing surface is larger, two or more lines can be applied with some spacing. In gluing, Jamnik also uses a device called an “ejector”, which ensures control of the glue application. If there is no glue or not enough of it, the device detects such a folding box and ejects it from the machine.
After gluing, the folding boxes in the line on the machine are passed through a “press” so that the glue adheres well to the surface and dries, thus gluing the folding box.
