In March 2022, in addition to four organizational certificates, Jamnik also obtained the technical UGRA PSO certificate. At the company, we are proud to be the first in Slovenia to hold a PSO certificate from the UGRA competence centre.

UGRA, the Swiss competence centre for media and printing technology, which issues the PSO (ProcessStandard Offset) certificate. PSO is an offset printing process certificate that describes a standard or standardized workflow from the receipt of input files to the output (printed sheets from the machine). It is a confirmation that the company is competent to print according to the ISO 12647-2 standard and that the work process is set up in such a way that the standard can always be achieved.

PSO includes several ISO standards and covers the following areas:

  1. Organization and Documentation | ISO 10012:2003 and ISO 9001
  2. Data exchange | ISO 15930
  3. Colour management | ISO 15076
  4. Softproof (on screen) | ISO 12646
  5. Proof (on printing material) or test print | ISO 12647-7:2016
  6. Printing plate production | ISO 12218:1997
  7. Printing | ISO 12647-2:2013
  8. Standard lighting | ISO 3664:2009

It does not focus only on technology, but also places great emphasis on the economics of the process. With a controlled work process, the company achieves less waste, faster printing press preparation, fewer complaints, greater success, and profit.

WHY did we decide to obtain the UGRA PSO certificate? Our wish was to obtain a quality certificate from a reputable independent organization such as UGRA. The UGRA certificate shows our existing and future customers that they can expect the high level of quality described by the ISO 12647-2 standard. Through instructions, we show customers a diagram, thereby facilitating communication with the customer and our printing experts.

The main advantages for our company and for customers are:

  • proof that we constantly monitor, direct, and verify all processes using control methods,
  • we have predictable colour quality on the print,
  • printing is in accordance with the industrial (international) standard ISO 12647-2,
  • we have defined tolerances for the entire workflow,
  • we have certified measuring devices,
  • test prints are colour-accurate and come with an attached measurement report,
  • we use standardized lighting and have correct colour matching conditions.

We are proud of our achievements, which demonstrate to our customers and business partners the high level of quality we achieve.
